About Us

Northwest Allergy Lab (NWAL) is a full service reference allergy lab which performs environmental and food allergy testing using blood samples and an enzyme immunosorbent assay (EIA). This in-vitro allergy testing is extremely accurate test for specific IgE and IgG allergens. NWAL is regulated by CLIA and OSHA and meets the federal governments highest laboratory standards for clinical safety and test accuracy. NWAL is also certified by the Washington State Department of Laboratory Quality Assurance as a high complexity labratory.
NWAL has an extensive portfolio of both environmental allergens and food allergens (IgE, IgG and IgG subclass 4) for testing. The ordering physician can use the established NWAL panel or a custom panel can be created. NWAL can perform a mini-screen or a full panel for both environmental and food allergens.
The ordering physician simply draws 2 red-top SST and centrifuges the serum. NWAL supplies the shippers and pays for courier service pick-up in the Seattle area or Federal Express for out of town physician offices. Results are then faxed back to the ordering physician within 48 hours of receiving the specimen.
The ordering physician can mix allergy extracts from these results, no additional testing necessary. A list of laboratory mixing extracts can be provided upon request.
We offer diagnostic in vitro testing for allergies in addition to immunotherapy treatment sets for diagnosing and treating the allergic patient. NWAL is committed to offering quality service as well as technical help if any questions arise.
